Hi I live in Denmark but I am french I am a 42 years old lad, into video game since I was 12. I usely play tactical and rpg games, 4x if they really offer the full package I also play some FPS with my kid. We also like to play tabletop games (X-wings, Claustrophobia, Game of the Generals , UNo ....) Lately we have discover a great RPG video game you can play from your couch. The whole familly love it and I can only recommend it to people who love tabletop RPG. If this little indie studio succeed they could improve the concept and make you play a real RPG without forcibly have access to the talent of a GM . The game is Eon Altar. What I do for a living is quite pretty simple. I manage an application support team. Outside gaming I read a lot, love manga and anime, love good food and cook for my wife and kids, and we love going out and walk sighting new place. No pets Maybe when we will have a house one day. I am never really sure a pet in an appartement is right... beside goldfish

Great to see so many responses already! It's a pleasure to be able to join all of you on this new journey. So what should you know about me? Well, a lot of my likes and dislikes have become pretty apparent over the years I've been writing for SpaceSector. There are several things I look for these days in my strategy games. I prefer innovative approaches to classic mechanisms. I also want the game to tell me a compelling story, and that story should evolve based on both random factors and my choices in order to create a unique and challenging experience every time I play it. Characters should feel alive, have a personality, and offer more benefits and challenges to me as a player than pure statistical boosts to government or combat. I love variety in skill and tech trees, but only if they offer new options rather than statistical boosts. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Games that were at one time favorites or that I'm nostalgic about: 4X: Civilization I, Colonization, Master of Orion I & II, Master of Magic Strategy: Heroes of Might & Magic II & III & V, Disciples II, Sid Meier's Pirates!, Dawn of War, Mount & Blade (I created a mod called Chronicles of Taleria if you've heard of it) RPG: Baldur's Gate I & II, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Diablo II, Titan Quest Current favorites change as I play them. I rarely go back to play old games unless new content releases due to the constant influx of new games. I sincerely hope some day a 4X game releases that can keep me satisfied for thousands of hours, but thus far that game hasn't come. My second favorite genre after strategy games is RPGs. I have enjoyed RPGs for many, many years and am looking forward to several in the near future. These include typical RPGs, but also ARPG/loot based games as evidenced by my former favorites above. Beyond PC gaming, I also like board games and have been enjoying many games with my family over the past few years. It's a great family activity and a lot more fun when you step away from the mainstream mass market games like Monopoly and start fully exploring the hobby.
