So I am looking for some good games and it's been a few years

Some of my favorite game franchises include
    Mass effect
    warcraft
    starcraft
Final fantasy (last one played was ix)
    age of empires

been considering witcher3 and maybe ff10
Not a fan of mmo as I despise the co-op element and other people in general
I love games with immersive storylines and amazing graphics none of the lame low budget indy games like found on steam

Any suggestions are helpful even if games released 5 years ago

Hello @davidsalata and welcome to the forums

I'm also an old school gamer, though tend I to favor strategy games that will kick your butt over shiny graphics. However, if you're looking for something old school, that is awesome to behold, I can recommend Lords of Xulima (if you haven't tried it already).
It's an old style RPG from a couple of years ago...and quite difficult. You can find it both on steam or if you prefer GOG.

The Witcher series is good, the first and second part can be free from time to time at gog.com, just check the promotions.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is just great.

Not really a "new" game, but with a lot of mods, most notably ALOT, EGM, etc, Mass Effect looks like an almost modern game.
