Please do not be mad at me.

-SNIP- old text at the bottom

Too long, unpleasant to read, please read only this:
Can we mod the animated colonies with two numbers:
sky motion rate and ship amount per minute?

    ---

But I would love to disable the animation.
Maybe this is a Mod-Thread in your eyes.
And I would understand that this is nothing other people want.
But these fast moving clouds and the repetitive landing and even the bypassing ships (where do they fly? :) ) do not fit together.

But for sure, this is an alpha and there is nothing wrong about that animation. I do not want to argue when there is nothing to argue :)

But I prefer a picture instead the moving.
Is there any way to halt the animation?
or now, as i thought about it:
could you slow down the sky motion and reduce the flying ship amount?

You mention the "fast moving clouds". I don't experince the clouds moving fast in my PC but I've seen that before in other people's videos. Perhaps the clouds speed is currently linked to the CPU's speed but it shouldn't be that way. I can see that clouds moving too fast can be distracting. What CPU do you have, may I ask?

Speaking of animations/graphics.. I would like to see planetary buildings show up on this screen as they are built. :)

Oh, most certainly. We expect the colony screen to still be very far from what we envisage it to be. Expect a lot of love being added to that colony view ;)

Well, this is relative to everybodies opinion.
I did not think about my PC being to fast.
    Its a i7-4790K @4GHz

In my imagination, a colony sky is moving as fast as in real time. And that would mean fairly slow, almost invisible.
The reason behind this is, I would like to relax when looking at it. Right now it feels like a rush to me :)
ALso the ships are soo busy. If they would also be slower and less often travelling around, it would make more sense to me.
I mean, a bee hive is not that active :) and an airport is fare away from that. and here we have a very tiny landing pad.
i do not know if there are many many others around the colony, who knows :)

But I am sorry, I am too eager and think I am too often in the forum instead of playing.
Maybe some of you know what I mean.
There are those that play, and those that write more than play.
I can not stop writing before it is does not feel right!!
Well, thats where whe modders kick in. But not at this stage. Sorry :-/ It's an alpha! And its my first time I play such a awesome alpha!
I love this game already and what am I doing, just writing!!!
    I am a pain in the a**..

I'm very happy to hear that you're enjoying your time with the game. As for the writing, keep it coming. I may not reply immediately but I'm always reading what you guys have to say and will consider every suggestion for improvement that fits with the game's vision, and budget, of course :)

As for your CPU, it is as I suspected. You have quite a machine there. I agree that seeing the clouds move too fast is too distracting, so I took note of this and we'll see what we can do for the next builds. We'll also consider reducing the ships' animations a bit. Thanks.

Thank you! I thought this CPU is outdated and nothing special.
Looks like I can keep this PC for days to come.
