The description says "+50% to remote exploration speed" but it seems more like it takes 1 or 2 turns off at best. Instead of 2, 4, 6, 8, turns it looks like 2, 3, 4, 6 turns. Is this correct?
Yes, the 'Cosmic Wisdom' perk ends up taking 1 or 2 turns from each sector scanning level time. If the speed were to be increased by 100%, you'd expect the turns required to be halved (e.g. full scan would take 4 turns instead of the default 8). But since it's only a +50% speed bonus, it's actually 0.75 of the value, so you end up with 6, 4, 3 turns for full, advanced, basic scan. Actually, the advanced scan should cost 4.5 turns by the calculation, but since that's not a whole number I ended up rounding that down to 4 turns.
