How to update the game to the latest version

On Steam

Updates are handled automatically everytime you launch Steam if you have the option "Always keep this game up to date" under the "Updates" tab when you right click on Interstellar Space: Genesis on your game's library.

To play the latest game build on the "unstable" branch, click on "Interstellar Space: Genesis" on your games library. Press your mouse right button and choose "Properties", then go to "Betas", select the Beta build you'd like to opt in. If no betas are available enter the pass: interstellarsg on "Enter beta access code to unlock private betas", and then choose the "unstable" branch. The game will automatically update right after and you can play the latest unstable build.

To opt out of the "unstable Beta branch", just go to "Interstellar Space: Genesis" on your games library. Press your mouse right button and choose "Properties", then go to the "Betas" tab and select "NONE - Opt out of all Beta programs". Then you just need to wait and the game will update to the main version.

On Humble

To update the game to the latest version, check your Humble Bundle library (hit Ctrl + F5 to refresh your library to see the latest version), your Humble purchases history page, or just use your existing download link from Humble Bundle, as new versions will automatically be available there. In one of those pages you'll have access to links to download Interstellar Space: Genesis from Humble, as for a Steam key for the game.

If anybody has trouble finding the email with the link you can use the order resender and Humble Bundle will send you a list of your download pages.

You can choose to download the latest "stable" build from the "Stable" branch, or the latest "unstable" one from the "Unstable branch", if you want to see the new changes and help out test the most recent "unstable" build.

On Itch.io

You can download the Itch.io app here. Alternatively, you can buy and download the game directly from Itch.io through this link.

In the Itch.io app the game will keep updating automatically as soon as new updates are pushed. Or, you can simply re-download the game when you're logged in into Itch.io and go to the game's webpage there here. You will see the message "You own the game", and a link to re-download the latest version.

Alternatively, you can download the Itchio app and install and play there. The game will auto-update in the Itchio app.
