System View is not changing when selecting objects other than the owned planets. Go into a system view. Then go to the overview and select i.e. asteroids. Left click on them. The text changes, the system color(star) stays the same.
Yes, this issue was present in Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable. It was already addressed and the fix will be available in the hotfix to release very soon.
