Pre-Alpha 11 v0.9.0 Released!

    Hello everyone,

    a couple major bugs were detected on the recently released version (Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable Hotfix 2), namely a game-breaking bug when using Transcommunication (giving orders to fleets in transit) that was causing "phantom ships" which corrupted the game state. There was also another blocking issue where it was not possible to load a previously saved game from the main menu (the workaround for this one was to run the game in Administrator mode).

    To address these and one other major issue, we're releasing a new build called Pre-Alpha 11 v0.9.0. We think using numeric versions will help us track issues better.

    The bug fixes of this new build are:

    BUGS
    • Fixed the game-breaking bug when using Transcommunication, which would create "phantom fleets", also called "Glitchy ships" which would corrupt the game state and lock up the turn execution.
    • Fixed a bug where the game would not load a save game from the main menu (the loading process would stop and the game would never start).
    • Fixed a bug where all asteroids were being named "Betty III", which was the default name (this should have been fixed in the previous version but we confirm it being resolved now in this version).
    Note: Save games from previous builds should work ok. If you had not encountered the "Glitchy ships" issue, or you didn't research or used Transcommunication you should be able to proceed with your current games without a problem with this new build.


    The game should be more stable now, so we expect to decrease the frequency of new releases. However, if you find anything strange or can't proceed with the game for some reason, please send us the save of the turn where the issue appeared as for a save from the turn just before. Please send us also the output_log.txt file after you have witnessed any issue. You can find the output_log.txt file in C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\LocalLow\Praxis Games\ISG\
