Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable Hotfix released!

Hello everyone,

Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable has received a lot of great feedback from you in these past two weeks. We were very pleased to read your impressions of the game and we’re also glad to hear that you are having fun playing this version of ISG!

However, there were several concerns raised about this build, namely on performance as for quite a few nasty bugs and issues reported. This hotfix addresses those issues and we’re happy to report that the game requires much less memory to run now (1.5GB less!) and the experience is also much faster and fluid now as we did a lot of run-time performance optimizations.

Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable is now available!

Hello everyone!
We are proud to announce that Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable is now available for download to everyone who pre-ordered the game. This is a huge update that brings the game to an almost feature-complete state. So, welcome to an almost completely new game experience! :)

Among all that was added and improved we highlight the overhaul of the starmap and system view, the addition of race customization, espionage, events, random tech trees, a new playable race (the Sulak) and a completely new soundtrack produced by Grant Kirkhope and Ryan McQuinn! There’s also 12 new leaders, new and improved ship 3D models and new race looks and animations, among many other things as you can see in the release note below.

ISG Quick Update #3 – Espionage

Hello everyone, for today’s quick update we’ll talk about espionage in ISG as for a quick development status.

Dexana is known to be a smuggler and a pirate. However, what many may not know is that she’s also a skilled saboteur and psy-ops agent. If you need something blown up she’s your gal. She also has a way with people and will be able to convince others into joining your cause. Showing basic skill in espionage will allow her to steal low-level technology from your rivals. The only spy skill she lacks is to go into Deep Cover and do Intel Gathering missions.

ISG Dev Diary #9: Progress Update on Pre-Alpha 11


Hello everyone,

development work has been very intense over the past month and we thought it was time to make a break and create this update to let you guys know about the progress made and what is ahead of us in the short-term.

Since the release of Pre-Alpha 10, we’ve been very busy at fleshing out the game races, namely on defining all of their traits, special abilities and unique abilities. All the game races, including a fourth unannounced one, now have their own set of abilities, and we’re happy to announce that the race customization feature is now also complete! ISG Dev Diary #8: Pre-Alpha 10 Features Preview

Hey everyone!

We’re happy to report that Pre-Alpha 10 is almost finished, with only further internal testing to be done before we make it available for everyone who pre-ordered.

Since this new build is mostly done, we thought it would be nice to put up a list of the upcoming features (and it’s a lot of stuff). So, here it is!

As for when Pre-Alpha 10 will be available, that will depend on how many bugs and other issues may come up. Our tentative ETA is end of January, early February.

ISG Dev Diary #7: Progress Update on Pre-Alpha 10

Hello everyone,

we’ve been hard at work at bringing new features and improving the game in significant ways. Pre-Alpha 10 is in progress, and with it a lot of new shiny things will be brought to the table, which I’m sure you’ll find will be worth the wait!

The ground combat and bombardment mechanics presented in the last dev diary will be in. Star bases will also be added, which can be upgraded both in the economic and military sense. Also, a variety of planetary defenses along with the star bases will enhance the defensive side of the game further. What this means is that new strategies will be required to assault and invade colonies in Pre-Alpha 10, which will provide more meaningful choices and require you to plan things out a little bit more.

ISG Dev Diary #6: Ground Combat and Bombardment

Hey everyone,

it’s a been a while since we post a dev diary. The last one was on May of this year, for Leaders.

Since then, pre-orders have opened with Pre-Alpha 7, we did lots of gameplay and balance adjustments for Pre-Alpha 8 with the feedback we obtained from the community, and a major UI revamp was made for Pre-Alpha 9.

Now, we’re currently very busy adding all the remaining systems in our road to Alpha. These major systems include: Ground combat, bombardment, starbases, ship refit, espionage, race customization, more techs, more wonders, more weapons and system specials (ship modules), a new race, an in-game tutorial and events. After all of this is in the game we’ll hit Alpha and we should be entering Steam Early Access soon after.

Pre-Alpha 7b Hotfix Released!

Hello everyone,

we’ve just released Pre-Alpha 7b, which is a hotfix to Pre-Alpha 7a.

This hotfix includes several bug fixes to space combat, several balance tweaks and adds a lot of variety to the ruins searching text. Also, ships start with no shields at the beginning (Class I Shields needs to be researched now) among other gameplay changes and bug fixes.

Note: The save games from Pre-Alpha 7a should work on this new version but we suggest that you start new games to test this new build properly, and to benefit from the new features and fixes fully.

To update to this latest version, just use your existing download link from humble bundle. If anybody has trouble finding the email with the link you can use the order resender and Humble Bundle will send you a list of your download pages.

Interstellar Space: Genesis Pre-orders with Instant Access Start

Hello everyone!

Today, we’re thrilled to announce that pre-orders with instant access for Interstellar Space: Genesis are now open!

You can now grab a copy and see for yourself what we’ve been cooking for you for the past three and a half years.

By buying the game now through the humble widget here you get immediate access to the current game build and will receive all future updates including the final release. We’re currently at Pre-Alpha.

The game is not yet on Steam but we definitely plan to be on Steam in the near future, at which point we should be able to get Steam keys for all the people who wish it and pre-order now.

Interstellar Space: Genesis (Formerly Project Space Sector) Pre-Orders Soon

Hello everyone!

Today we’re happy to announce the new and definite name for the Project Space Sector working title. The new name is Interstellar Space: Genesis.

The “Interstellar Space” part is connected to an important mechanic of the game linked to the discovery of new objects in space. And, we also like it! :) The “Genesis” part will be the first chapter of what we envisage to be a series with two expansion packs.

Pre-orders and Pre-Alpha access soon

We’re also thrilled to announce that we plan to open pre-orders with instant access on July 12th, 2017.
