Update 1.2.4 Released

This smaller update adds ‘auto-combat’ as an option directly from the combat encounter screen. Also, some diplomacy, AI and UI tweaks and a few bug fixes.

This update is available on Steam, Humble Bundle and Itchio. Instructions on how to get the update for all stores can be found here.

Saves should be 100% compatible. The diplomatic changes will require new games and new custom races to take effect though. Editing and saving your current custom races will do the trick even if nothing is changed and will allow your existing custom races to use the new diplomacy changes.

Thanks to all who bought the game and the Natural Law expansion, and everyone who gave feedback and help us answer the questions of new players. Many thanks also to all who have reviewed the game so far...

ISG Dev Diary #13: Natural Law – The Cerixx

Greeting citizens! I’m Keith and I’m here today to share with you our second dev diary about Interstellar Space Genesis’s first expansion, Natural Law. This time I’m going to present you with all the evidence we have about our second new race, the Cerixx.

THE HIGH COURT OF THE CERIXX

From their homeworld’s high court, the Justice Division of the Cerixx Sentinels serves as the galaxy’s self-proclaimed judge, jury, and executioner. The Cerixx assert the galactic laws they enforce are for the common good, but rumors of rampant corruption have led many to allege they are nothing but a self-serving criminal enterprise. In response, the Cerixx have made the counterclaim that the galaxy is a dangerous place and it sure would be a shame if something happened to their accusers.

ISG Dev Diary #12: Natural Law – The Palacean

Hi everyone, I’m Keith, one of the designers of Interstellar Space Genesis’ first expansion, Natural Law. In today’s diary, I have the honor of giving you a deeper dive into one of our two new races, the one that puts the “Natural” in Natural Law, the Palacean.

THE RISE OF THE PALACEAN

The rise of the Palacean would never have occurred if not for the extraordinary environmental conditions present in their homeworld. As one of the galaxy’s only naturally occurring tropical paradises, their homeworld’s high humidity and welcoming environment allowed their race to break free from the shackles of the sea and ascend not only to the surface, but eventually, to the stars themselves.

1.0.7 Update Preview and Beyond

Hello everyone!

We’ve been working hard to bring you a new free update very soon. This will be version 1.0.7 and will bring the following:

1.0.7 Preview

  • Automated remote exploration
  • AI colony governors (automated colony management)
  • New galaxy configuration settings including system distance, system spread (even or varied distribution), number of planets, and resource abundance
  • Empire borders improved to be more clearly defined
  • Special systems rebalanced with new miniaturization and space requirement values
  • End-level techs in each research branch (techs that can be researched again and again for further benefits in that field)
  • Several balance changes
  • Bug fixes
  • And more!

The update is almost finished and should be out in the next few weeks.

Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable Hotfix 2 Released!

Hello everyone,
Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable has continued to received a lot of good feedback and bug reports over this past week. Lots of bugs have been squashed and issues resolved, as for many usability issues that were addressed. It’s almost not “Unstable” anymore ;)😉
However, there’s still work to do until we can say we have a stable build at the level we achieved with Pre-Alpha 10.
You can find all the changes in this new hotfix below. Let us know what you think and if you found any more bugs or issues of any kind.
Note: Save games from Pre-Alpha 11 Unstable Hotfix may “work” on this new hotfix but we strongly advise that you create new games to benefit from all the changes and fixes of this new build.

Ryan McQuinn joins music team !

Last Friday the Orlando Contemporary Chamber Orchestra’s (https://www.occomusic.com/) performed a concert focused in the famous classic RPG game Chrono Trigger. Ryan McQuinn was invited to compose a 10 minute suite and since he will make some music for ISG he choose our game as inspiration for the event! This is only preliminary work, so some parts may be heard in the final ISG OST, while others will not. We thank Ryan for choosing us as an inspiration to produce the musical piece.
